As I was clearing that messy study table of mine, which I ought to do so donkey years ago, I came across cards and gifts that I had received for the different ocassions.
I like some of the gifts and cards a lot, and looking at them made me smile right from my heart. Sounds weird, yea? Anyway, though there were some that I like a lot, there are some that... erm, how should I put it? not that they are not nice or that they are cheap, it's just that those gifts were not something that were unusual, or that it gives kaboom! feeling, yet the senders were so happy, excited and proud of them. Yea, I do know that when people gives presents, they are usually elated, hoping that the receiver will like the gift as much as they do.. it's just that.. As in, I don't ask for cards and presents made up of gems or painted with gold, it's just that... there is no need to be so "exaggerating-ly" proud, ya? Btw, I'm not being materialistic, ya? I do appreciate the good thoughts and stuff, it's just that... Ah! I just realised that I have used so many "just that". HAHA! anyway, it's just that comparing the cards & gifts with the reactons from the senders, I am kindda -_-! But I swear that I am not being heartless, ok? and I still hope to continue receiving cards and presents in the future.. yea? (: Of course, I also hope that the people who receive cards and gifts from me would like them too! Heh! (:
What you see/feel, people might not see/feel it the same way as you do.
Don't give people great impressions of something, unless you are very sure that the person thinks the same way as you do. Otherwise, there will only be more disappointments than anything else.
